THE POSITION:

Saint Hubert is actively seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of Assistant Director of Advancement. The successful candidate will support the Advancement Office’s efforts to secure public and private funding to advance the school’s mission and core values.

Specific Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Director of Advancement at Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls, the Assistant Director of Advancement will work with the President and Leadership Team, as well as collaborate with the Board of Directors to promote the mission advancement program of the school. This position will include identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts (typically starting at $5,000 and up) from individuals, foundations, and corporations, working to build relationships and secure significant financial support for Saint Hubert’s programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a thorough knowledge of Saint Hubert Catholic High School’s history, mission, academic, and extracurricular programs, and its faculty, students and administration; maintain a thorough understanding of the school’s current priorities and initiatives of the faculty and administration.
• Set measurable goals and monitor progress, ensuring annual revenue targets are met or exceeded.
• Analyze campaign performance, identifying trends, and opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct prospect research in order to strengthen the prospect pipeline; regularly review and refine portfolio.
• Create and implement moves management plan.
• Reach out to qualified major gift prospects regularly (one “touch” per month); Expected an average of 3-4 prospect and donor visits per week.
• Make direct, face-to-face solicitations, and assist the board and other staff with their solicitation (e.g., provide portfolio development support, strategic counsel, and help with donor communications).
• Develop and compose donor-related communication pieces for the purpose of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Acknowledge major donors through public and private recognition.
• Maintain accurate and current information in Raiser’s Edge for alumnae, donors, and prospects.
• Assist with the compilation of direct mailings, solicitation, and social media campaigns.
• Cultivate, coordinate, and manage donor gifts for the identified scholarship programs.
• Steward scholarship initiatives and donors.
• Work on expanding the EITC portfolios annually.
• Plan and coordinate stewardship events, such as donor appreciation receptions and impact tours.
• Prepare reports, briefing materials, correspondence, proposals, and related documents for solicitation of major gift prospects.
• Attend and support appropriate alumnae and donor engagement events related to assigned responsibilities, including some weekend and evening times.
• Participate in departmental and professional training programs to increase expertise in the profession.
• Perform other duties when necessary.

• Build a portfolio of 50 donors and prospects (to start) with assistance of the DIA.

Qualifications:

• An appreciation and passion for Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls and a commitment to promoting the mission, values, and vision for the school.
• Demonstrate an aptitude with new and emerging technologies as well as experience with Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Word, Google Drive, and Canva.
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build, foster, and maintain positive relationships with internal and external constituencies including administrators, faculty, volunteer leadership, students, donors, and prospects.
• Demonstrate an energetic and goal-oriented approach to promoting the advancement efforts of St. Hubert.
• Three years of professional fundraising experience or other related fields.
• Excellent oral, personal, and communication skills.
• Strong work ethic, self-motivation and stamina, evidence of good judgement, attention to detail, and demonstrated personal integrity.
• Successful Major Gift fundraising experience, preferably in a nonprofit or educational environment.
• Demonstrated success qualifying major gift prospects combined with the ability and confidence to cultivate, solicit, and artfully ask to secure major gifts.
• Proven success, creating personal contact and solicitation plans for prospects. This should take into account the individual donor’s interest, motivations, giving patterns, capacity, and preferences along with the ability to implement that plan in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Superior communication skills which will be utilized to express orally and in writing Saint Hubert’s mission and fundraising goals with passion and persuasion when developing effective proposals, presentations, and asks .
• Ability to manage people, process deadlines and budgets while adhering to the policies and procedures of Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls.

• Strong work ethics, self-motivation and stamina. Evidence of good judgment, attention to detail, demonstrated personal integrity.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Salary commensurate with experience.
