AutoCAD Drafter – Part-Time Independent Contractor ABOUT FIFA WORLD CUP TM BOSTON 2026 FIFA World Cup™ Boston 26 (Boston 26) is the host city organizing committee leading the strategic planning and execution of the seven matches of the FIFA World Cup 26™ awarded to Boston, including the official celebratory events taking place over a 39-day period surrounding the tournament in 2026. ABOUT THE ROLE: The AutoCAD Drafter would be responsible for preparing drawings for a variety of needs within Boston 26, including operational overlays, code compliance documentation, architectural detailing, and furniture layouts. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and organized individual with proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe, and Bluebeam. This role is critical in supporting our project teams to ensure the operational plans accurately and clearly communicate to a variety of end-users.
Location: Remote and occasional on-site in Foxborough, MA and Boston, MA
Type/Term: Part-Time, as needed through late Summer 2026 when position would end. No more than 20 hours/week.
Reports to: Executive Producer of Celebration 26 and Events
Salary Range: $20-40/hour; dependent on experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Prepare detailed color-coded operational drawings.
- Develop and modify drawings for aspects of Celebration 26, transportation hubs, and fan zone venues.
- Work closely with Executive Producer of Celebration 26, Fan Operations Team, and Senior Director of Transportation to ensure compliance with project requirements, building code, and regulations.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of related experience in CAD
- Sports events overlay experience highly preferred.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team with commitment to completing assignments accurately and on time.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be proactive, willing to ask questions, and open to direction.
- Knowledge of event planning is a major plus.

Applicants must have their own computer and AutoCAD license. WORK EXPECTATIONS: - Up to part-time (20 hours/week) remote role that may require occasional evening and weekend work. Local and regional travel on occasion.
- This role is estimated to conclude in late Summer of 2026 .
COMPENSATION: The compensation range is competitive and commensurate with professional experience.
