Entry Level Legal Coordinator

Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a boutique law firm in the San Fernando Valley that offers residential and commercial eviction services for landlords in counties throughout California. We are in search of a Trial Coordinator who is highly organized and detail-oriented. 

The Trial Coordinator will play a critical role in preparing cases for trial in Unlawful Detainer matters. This individual will support attorneys and paralegals by ensuring all trial-related documents are filed timely, deadlines are met, and trial logistics are managed efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong calendar management skills, litigation support experience, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Manage and maintain trial calendars, including court deadlines, appearances, and case milestones.
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, court personnel, and witnesses regarding trial dates and requirements.
• Prepare, file, and serve trial-related documents such as trial briefs, witness lists, exhibit lists, and statements of the case.
• Ensure compliance with local Los Angeles County court rules and procedures.
• Organize trial binders, exhibits, and supporting documentation.
• Assist in trial preparation logistics, including arranging court appearances, scheduling interpreters (if needed), and confirming courtroom availability.
• Maintain accurate case status updates and report to supervising attorneys.
• Handle last-minute changes or continuances in trial scheduling with efficiency and professionalism.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years of experience as a trial coordinator, litigation assistant, or legal assistant in a law firm setting.
• Open to more junior but must be extremely organized and detail-oriented.
• Prior experience with Unlawful Detainer preferred.
• Proficiency in California court e-filing systems and Los Angeles County Superior Court procedures.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a high-volume case environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software (CLIO, Westlaw)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• $50,000 - $60,000 (D.O.E.)
