Purpose: To provide Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) to adults with serious persistent mental illnesses and co-occurring substance use disorders. This includes providing instruction, support, and assistance to promote psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal and emotional adjustment, community integration, and independent living skills. The Mental Health Practitioner works under the direct supervision of the ARMHS Treatment Clinical Supervisor.
The Safeway ARMHS program serves individuals living in Dakota, Anoka, Washington, Hennepin, and Ramsey Counties. Practitioners meet with individuals in their homes or communities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain a Full-time practitioner billed hours of 35-40 hours per week or a Part-time practitioner billed hours of 20-30 hours per week.
· Deliver therapeutic interventions to clients, focusing on skill development, crisis management, connections to resources and emotional regulation.
· Utilize person-centered principles to actively engage clients in their mental health recovery. Build and maintain appropriate relationships that help clients achieve their individual goals.
· Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation for clients experiencing mental health symptoms or other emotional and/or behavioral responses while prioritizing client and program safety.
· Assist clients in developing healthy lifestyle skills, including coping strategies, social interactions, and self-care routines.
· Educate clients about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping mechanisms to empower them in their recovery journey.
· Provide one-on-one services both in clients' homes and in office or community-based settings.
· Collaborate with county case managers, clients' families/guardians, work personnel, medical professionals, and other relevant parties to coordinate care.
· Attend supervision meetings and participate in team-based decision-making regarding client services. Regularly review client progress with the clinical team and update treatment plans as needed. Communicate changes in service needs and recommendations to the Treatment Clinical Supervisor.
· Meet regularly with Treatment Clinical Supervisor for reviews of client needs and receive direction for treatment. Biweekly chart audits will be completed.
· Attend monthly all staffs meetings
· Complete comprehensive Functional Assessments, Treatment Plan, Crisis Plans, and charting within 24 hours of face-to-face client meetings
· Complete Initial Intake and Diagnostic Assessments under the supervision of a Treatment Supervisor
· Engage in ongoing professional growth and development. Maintain appropriate professional behavior and participate in necessary supervision.
· Be available to work during the days, evenings, and weekends.

· Strong clinical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Bilingual in mutiple languages
· Integrity, self-reliance, and self-motivation.
· Timely, accurate submission of documents as required.
· Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance and willingness to travel within the Twin Cities metro area.
· Must be proficient in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
Qualifications
In order to be considered for this position, you must be qualified in at least one of the following ways:
· Meet the Mental Health Practitioner requirements as per MN State Statute 245I.04.04. These qualifications include the following:
o Hold a Master's degree or other graduate degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields
o Hold a Bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields AND 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to people with mental illness
§ Candidates who have completed a practicum or internship that requires direct interaction with adults or children served, and is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields may qualify and are encouraged to apply regardless of whether they have 2000 hours of experience
o Have 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of mental health services to people with mental illness
· Meet the Clinical Trainee requirements per MN State Statute 245I.04.06
o Has completed an accredited graduate program of study to prepare the staff person for independent licensure as a mental health professional
· Meet the Mental Health Professional requirements per MN State Statue 245I.04.02
o Licensed as a LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LP in Minnesota
