Our client is a family-owned and operated business that has been in existence for over 150 years.   Headquartered near New York City, they have manufacturing locations throughout the country that have been growing steadily in recent years.  

Due to internal promotion in their Ohio plant, they are looking to hire a Process Engineer.   This person will work predominantly in the foundry area of the facility, so this kind of experience will be necessary to have.  

Main duties include:
Aid in providing technical expertise and process improvements of overall foundry operations
Help correct mold-setting issues by making the necessary adjustments to the foundry equipment
Use CI and Lean/Six Sigma skills to aid in process improvements
Work in other areas of the facility as well, such as the CNC machining area and the Paint/Finishing section. 
Use corrective action skills to reduce scrap and rework
Address safety concerns in the plant and ensure all safety goals are met

Requirements include:
BS degree in engineering (AS degree will be considered)
3-5 years of experience working in a foundry is preferred (entry-level will be considered, if co-ops or internships are there)
Strong CI/Lean knowledge and passion
Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a small team environment
