Position Overview:

As Project Manager , you will lead key heavy civil infrastructure projects across the Houston metro area, with a focus on pump/lift stations, stormwater improvements, and underground utilities. You will manage schedules, budgets, client relationships, and field coordination to ensure successful project delivery with a sharp focus on quality, safety, and execution excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full project lifecycle including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, and public agencies (City of Houston, Harris County).
  • Coordinate with field superintendents, safety managers, and subcontractors to drive production and ensure compliance.
  • Lead project meetings, track milestones, manage change orders, and control project documentation.
  • Support estimating and preconstruction efforts when needed for upcoming work.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify issues, and ensure solutions are implemented swiftly.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in civil construction project management, ideally with municipal utility projects.
  • Experience managing lift stations, pump stations, large water transmission, or storm drainage systems.
  • Knowledge of City of Houston, Harris County, or local agency standards and processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and scheduling software (Primavera P6 or equivalent).
