Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Repack Associate to join our team at our food manufacturing facility. The Repack Associate will be responsible for transferring product into packaging, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This is a key role that contributes directly to our production efficiency and product quality.

Scheduled hours for this 1st shift position are 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday. The pay rate starts at $18.50/hr.

Job Responsibilities: 

Repackaging : Transfer product from bulk containers to smaller retail or customer-ready packages. Ensure that the correct packaging is used, and follow company standards for portioning and sealing.

Quality Control : Inspect product for defects, damage, or contamination during the repackaging process. Report any issues to supervisors and ensure that only high-quality products are sent out.

Labeling and Documentation: Ensure that all repackaged product is accurately labeled according to product specifications. Complete required documentation for inventory and traceability.

Sanitation : Maintain a clean and sanitary work area in accordance with food safety standards. Regularly clean equipment and packaging areas to meet hygiene standards.

Inventory Management : Assist in the monitoring of inventory levels and notify the supervisor of any shortages or potential issues with packaging materials.

Compliance: Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and food safety guidelines (such as HACCP, GMPs, and OSHA standards).

Team Collaboration : Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure production timelines are met.

Safety & Compliance:  Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. Adhere to food safety standards, including personal hygiene, handling of food, and waste disposal. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and guidelines in the facility. 

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:  

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors. 
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Basic math skills for portioning and labeling.

Education & Experience:  

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Experience: Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus but not required.
  • Certifications: Food safety certifications (e.g., ServSafe) are a plus, but not required. 

Work Environment:   

Production facility setting. 

  • Must wear required PPE while in all manufacturing areas. 
  • Moving parts and machinery are present in the plant. 
  • Noise levels will vary, higher noise levels exist while in the plant operations areas. 

Physi cal Demands:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs over an entire shift.
  • Ability to physically perform repetitive motions of grasping, lifting, pulling, pushing, crouching, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to work in a hot, humid environment when performing sanitation tasks.
  • Ability to use knives to cut open bags and dump 50 lb bags at a high frequency.
