You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the tax department's operations and providing comprehensive tax planning and compliance services to our diverse client base. The role requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, strong leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Review and prepare complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations, including partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact for tax-related matters.
• Understand clients' financial goals and objectives, providing valuable insights and advice on tax planning and financial strategies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and productivity.
• Analyze financial data and tax implications to recommend optimal solutions for clients' tax situations.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance for clients and the firm.
• Identify opportunities to expand the firm's client base through networking, referrals, and participation in industry events.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is Required.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in tax planning and compliance within a midsize public accounting firm.
• Proficiency in tax software and accounting systems.
